With the Invention of Multi-Activation Circulating Subs, it is easy to pump large LCM material into the hole with no concern regarding sensitive, expensive, high-tech tools such as LWD & MWD. The Mechanical MAC Sub is a mid-string circulating tool. It can be run in milling, drilling, and wellbore clean-up strings to improve circulation and assist with hole cleaning, without compromising pressures in the well.

The MAC Sub is the perfect tool for use in ‘High Angle’ and ‘Horizontal’ wells. This will help increase hole cleaning of high angle wells dramatically

All tools have two large circulating ports as standard which greatly reduces the risk of plugging. So, client should not worry about the size of LCM or other materials pumping in well. 

The MAC Sub is designed to divert flow from MWD and Motor. This means no restriction in pumping high concentration of LCM material.

4. Removes Trips for Changing BHA

Due to the unique design of the MAC Sub, Client can change the flow from BHA to Ports and when pumping LCM is finished, the flow will be returned to BHA. This means no added trip is required to change BHA to cure the loss. This will reduce costs tremendously.
